Winter Penguin Window Greeting Cards
I love the window cards that I see every where and I love shaker cards so I combined the two in this card. I challenged myself to make several cards with these penguin stickers that I got at Hobby Lobby. I wanted to do something simple, and I don't have any of those special window dies so I decided to use what I had on hand. During the process of making this card I realized I had no acetate for the windows so I did as I have done before and used Project Life Photo Pockets - I get them at Walmart.I love the texture of the cut out cross stitched square left from the windows so I used distress ink to color them and used them as the background for the window; I decided I needed a little more color, but didn't have any blue card stock so with the help of the wonderful card makers out there on Youtube I just used my Tim Holtz ink and did a border of color to matched, added Cartwright sequins, and some beads from my stash. I stamped the "Merry Christmas" with Versafine onyx black and that's it! To finish it off, I added a penguin inside.

Christmas Elves Holiday Greeting Card
Happy Saturday!
I love these elves! They are Buddy and Jolly from Stamping Bella. These were colored with pencils and I added some glitter paper with some Christmas card stock from my stash. They came together pretty fast so I made a few of them. I think they are just so cute!

Gingerbread House Holiday Card
Happy Holidays! I have 3 holiday cards lined up to help carry over some Christmas cheer into January.
For this card, I got the Lawn Fawn Sweet Holiday stamps and dies last Christmas but never had a chance to use them. It was pretty simple to make! I used the Lawn Fawn stitched hills, some Kraft card stock for the house and gingerbread, and white card stock for the candy. I colored the candy with pencils and added some glossy accents. Then I backed it with some pink Christmas paper and, as usual, added strips of the left over paper to finish off the inside.

Cute Alien Greeting Cards
I just got these stamps from Gerda Steiner Designs and I had to stop with holiday ideas so I could make a few cards with this cute set! I am a big sci-fi fan so of course space ships and cute little aliens are right up my alley. I can't wait until I have some more time to play with this set!
On all the cards I used: Tim Holtz distress inks for the galaxies, Canson XL Mixed Media paper, Versafine Ink, and Recollections Paper and embossing powders. Dies are by Paper Smooches, and Spellbinders Celebrations. I also was inspired by Cartwright's Sequins to use sequins in the shaker card.

Quick Brown Bag Halloween Mini-Album Part 2
One last Halloween surprise!
For this mini-album, I added tags as I always do from left over scraps; they always make such nice papers and you can never feel guilty for wasting paper! I also used the Boo Collection by Recollections.

Quick Brown Bag Halloween Mini-Album Part 1
I found a few banners and spooky tags I the dollar bin at Target so I got the idea of using them to make some quick Halloween brag books. Here are some of the supplies "before":
I used the idea of the lunchback album from a really wonderful tutorial by Pinkscrapper99 on Youtube (thank you for your inspiration!). This brown lunch bag brag book was made from dollar bin banners and tags that I found. I also used Graphic 45's An Eerie Tale. With this book I added an extra little flip to make it a little more interactive.

Peeps-inspired Easter Sticker Card
Even though it was after Easter, I had to make this card! It's made out of clearance stickers and cardstock from Michaels. I think the bunnies are so cute - the shape and color reminds me of Peeps! Now I have plenty of Easter cards for next year.

First Attempt - Mixed Media
Just a quick update this week - here is my first attempt at mixed media. I used a texture paste that I made myself. Trying my hand at it (on a small scale).
Have a good week!

Spring & Easter Greeting Cards
Hello again!
I wanted to try my hand at making some quick cards with just some of the pretty paper I had laying around. I found my 6x6 big stack from Recollections with a 180 papers called Blossoms and Bliss. I only had time to make two, but I cant wait to have another try at it soon. I just added a layer of black card stock behind it and the card base was pink cardstock (Recollections also) - then stamped some simple flowers with a 'Thank You' on a piece of white cardstock 1 3/4 by 2 3/4, backed it in black. Inside I used some of the left over paper as a side border just for a touch of color. Simple and quick!
